This is an 8x10 canvas that will be listed tonight on EBAY. I have another larger canvas and two minis that will go on tonight also. Here is a peek at one of them. The words read- It is on the wings of my sister that I soar to higher ground. I have used this phrase before, but it works really well here. This is a good piece for a best friend also. The girls have scripture wings, and the glare is from my less than great photography :)

New Auctions up!
I hate to rush around trying to get my EBAY orders out in time for holiday giving... so this week is my last new painting listing on EBAY, until after Christmas. There will be items in my ETSY store, but as for weekly listings of new paintings this week is it. The auctions end next Monday December 14. I have a few listed so be sure to check them out.
I am just about out of wood magnets. I listed two sets on ETSY at a discounted price. That will be all of the magnets until after Christmas. They make great stocking stuffers or secret Santa gifts.
My family is having a "handmade" Christmas this year. We are only exchanging gifts we have created by hand. I think this is so much fun, but I am at an advantage, I create all year long. My goal is to make something I have not already tried before. Last year I learned how to make those great wristlet key fobs, this year I'm still working on my projects. Martha Stewart has had really great ideas all month. Most of her crafts are a little too time consuming for me, but I did see a Christmas tree project I am fooling around with. So I will keep you posted on that project.
For my nieces I am working on bottle cap magnetic necklaces, another new project for me. Hopefully these will be as cute as the originals I spotted on TV :)
~"Peace, Love, Joy" Christmas Angel is on Ebay now~

New in my ETSY store
I have a few of my prints available in white mattes. I had these professionally printed and they are exceptionally nice. I found this 8x10 "distressed look" frame at HL and popped the mat and print right in! Looks so cute, and will definitely make a unique gift for someone special. This particular painting was created as a gift and is only available as a print.

Great deal on EBAY
As usual I had to have the latest scrap booking tool. I love gadgets and this one is no exception. My idea was to make journals with hand painted covers. Still a great idea, but I cannot get it done. I ran out a bought the latest Zutter bind-it-all and still it sits un-used. I did try it once, but it is just something I am not going to get to. Needless to say it has been listed on EBAY. I listed it as a buy it now. Like I said, I used it once. If you are in the market for this cool tool here is the link. I am including the wire I purchased to go with it and FREE SHIPPING!

This month sucks
That is the only way I can sum this up. We have had an unbelievably bad month, first my over price fridge quits (as usual warranty is up) next up... car breaks down. Last Saturday night take husband to ER, still do not know what is wrong, we have to wait a week for a follow up. Two days later my poor sweet dog starts with a horrific nose bleed. I rush him to the vet, they say cancer, on to a veterinary internist who does an expensive nose procedure and cannot confirm the cancer, The worst part is (besides my house is now covered in blood stains) my dog seems to be in worst condition than he was after his nose stopped bleeding on its own. All I can think about is I made the wrong choice in trying to get to the bottom of the nose bleed. I need some good news and lots of prayers.

I did list a bulk order of magnets in my ETSY store. 20 artist pick for $20 These would be great for secret Santa, or to hand out to friends during the holiday. I will only list this once, because most of these will be sold at my up coming events, so don't waste any time starting your Christmas shopping :)

The PIXIE Cottage
I told you a while back about The Pixie Cottage stamp line. This is an update on my new stamp line sold EXCLUSIVELY at Michelle's Scrapbooking and More. I am on the design team with a great group of exceptionally talented artist and crafts people. I hope I can keep up, I have been deep into paint for the last few months and now I need to get back into "stamp" mode.
The first card I created was a quicky. Hopefully over the next few weeks I can get my creative juices flowing and really come up with something unique. ANYWAY, this stamp was made from a painting I did. The little girl is some what of a self portrait, seeing this as a stamp, kinda freaks me out, but that is a whole other issue ;)
I designed this stamp the same way I sketch all of my girls---- I am going to cut off her head. A little tip I learned from Suziblu, after I sketch and color, off goes the head. NOW, I don't have a thing for the queen of hearts, but when I reattach the head, I can tilt it and give her just a bit of movement. I think it makes my girls look a little more real, and not just staring straight into space.
I used this technique with the card I created. After the girl was water colored I cut off her head, I then reattached the head to the body. I raised her up with pop dots to add dimension. I inked this card like crazy, the print paper is K&Company and the butterflies are stickers from HL. The word stamp is from Clear Designs. The stamp of my little girl is my design from my Southend Girl collection. If you would like to add this stamp to your collection she can only be found at Michelles Scrapbooking and More. If you purchase this stamp, be sure to let me know. I will feature you and your creation right here on my blog, and you may just even receive a little surprise from me ;)

you spin me right ROUND baby.....
right ROUND, like a record baby, right ROUND round round. Do you have that tune stuck in your head yet? That was the song stuck in my head while I searched for wood rectangles this morning but only found ROUND. My magnets have done well this week and I am now on a limited supply, until I find more rectangles. So here is a batch of ROUND circle style wood magnets. I cleared out my local HL and now I will be on a quest for the perfect wood pieces to create more fridge art. These circle magnets, full of FACE, turned out so cute. They are 2 inches across and finished in high gloss. I will get them listed in my ETSY store in the next day or two. Feel free to convo me if you want to claim a couple now. I will set you up a custom ETSY listing.

More magnets!
I have just finished a huge group of wood magnets. I listed these in my ETSY store They are 2 for $5-- your choice on the design. They are limited so please don't wait.
The rain is keeping me away from my favorite art show in Louisville, St. James Court. This is a really big event and draws crowds from surrounding states and all over. If the sun comes out I may go home for the event, its a two hour drive from here :( Missing this show is one of the things I miss the most about home. I love to walk through the streets of old Louisville and take in all of the sites and yummy smells of fall. The art is amazing and a joy to take in. If I get there this weekend I will be sure to take a few pics.

~~~Spread your WINGS~~
I have been working on larger pieces for an art show. I went ahead and listed an original in my ESTY store. This piece was inspired by my love for Jane Austen novels and of course, the movies! Inspiration for the creative SOUL
This week I have been working hard on all new mini collages. I made 6 new plaques that will go to an art show in November. For now, I have taken prints of the images and mounted them to chipboard to create a set of "inspiration" cards. I have two sets, the first are 6 new prints with positive affirmations for the creative soul. Each card has an affirmation to inspire you and keep you in a "positive" mind set. The second set are 6 of my angel prints. These cards have words of scripture to help those of you who may need words of encouragement and a spiritual uplift to get you through the day. Each set comes with a plastic storage case.
I personally love these kind of cards, I have a set from Louise Hay that I keep in my bedside drawer. I like to read them in the morning, they are just a little reminder to keep a positive attitude and let your creativity flow each day.
These cards are listed in my ETSY store. Have a happy Saturday!
No more IAMS!
I am writing today to spread the word. I have 6 rescued and adopted pets, not the mention the countless animals I have helped find loving homes. Today I discover that IAMS conducts cruel and inhumane testing on dogs and cats. I have purchased their products for years and I will no longer give my money to a company who promotes the health and well being of animals while secreting abusing and mistreating dogs and cats for testing and profit. Today I will search for pet food that is cruelty free and let you what I find. If you have any suggestions feel free to comment and let me know what you feed your pets.
Buy local.....
In a "green" lifestyle they say you should buy local produce, well why not local art? While on vacation in St. Augustine I met a local artist selling his beautiful prints in the town square. I thought what a great way to commemorate a fantastic vacation. I am going to have this print framed and look at it every day and remember a great vacation. From now on wherever we end up on our vacation that will my mission, to seek out local artist and add to my art collection!
The print I purchased is a watercolor of the Casa Monica, which was the hotel we stayed in. The artist is Scott Raimondo. I love this print, I think it really captured the feel of the old Spanish city.
