NEW ART and MONDAY update!

This past week was beautiful, the sun was unseasonably warm. We had temps in the 80's......I was outside all week in the sunshine working on this large painting. I had my ipod on (Adele), a tall glass of ice tea and paint all over!

"Sun Dance"

18x24 canvas

 I used a few new techniques in this one, I started with a wash of acrylic and layered with watercolor and water spray. I finished with chalk, pencil and more paint. If you look close you can see the background through her hair, this is one of my favorite parts.

I love the bold flowers. The color really pops on the wall, I have her hanging in studio now. I think she feels a little like a fairy looking for her wings :)

My inspiration for this painting.

I re-purposed a wood sign I found in my garage. The snow is keeping me away from the art supply, so you just have to make due :) I have a sister piece I will show you later this week. This one, will go to Ebay tonight, I would like to keep her, but my studio is getting full of my glittery girls. She really seems to glow with glitter. I collaged vintage garden book pages and print paper. The tree is acrylic and watercolor. I love the vintage buttons in the tree leaves. It measures 12x12. Breast Cancer Awareness

Don't forget October is breast cancer awareness month. A card print of my original painting "Courage" is being sold in my ETSY store 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Koman foundation. I am taking the money earned from this card to the CincyPinkfest on November 22 where I will sell my remaining cards and make the donation. Custom Order group

I thought you might want to peek at a custom order I have been working on this week. This is a grouping done in blues and green. I added a little silver and pink here and there. Each piece is centered around a word- Live, Laugh, Love and Grow. I added glitter and crystals, these turned out so cute!

My first treasury!!!
