This has been a difficult holiday to say the least. The one bright spot is my dog (who has been diagnosed with cancer) is still here. He is a little slow, but eating, sleeping and wanting to go on his evening walks.
I spent my New Year Eve, and a few days after, in the ER with my husband. He is back home less a gallbladder, I will keep my fingers crossed that he has a speedy recovery. He is on a bland diet, and I am just starving :) trying to count my points.
To finish off the increasingly bad holiday my grandmother passed away yesterday. She has been ill for some time and she hasn't really "known" any of us for the past few years. She went to heaven peacefully in her sleep. What I will remember most about her, are the beautiful dresses she made me as a child, and the delicious thanksgiving dinners she would cook. She made the best turkey, gravy and dressing that I have ever tasted to this day.

Praying God's comfort for you all.
I am so sorry for your loss. My grandmother passed away over Christmas, and I am still grappling with the loss. I pray you find comfort and peace during this difficult season.
