My version of Frida, I really love the bold colors, so I think she will stay with me. Her skirt reads "Color my world with hope"

Angel for Haiti
I know you are watching the news coverage of the terrible tragedy in Haiti, the loss of life and destruction is so hard to see. This morning I decided to create an angel for Haiti, I have a large 12x24 wood plank that I have been wanting to use. I am going to auction this on EBAY with 100% of the proceeds going to one of the charities listed by Mission Fish. This is a peek at what I have finished so far. I hope to have her listed by Wednesday.
I encourage all of my blogging art friends to do the same :) If you are like me you have a bunch of extra half painted canvas and wood just waiting to be re-worked , finished or just started. Take a little time and create something beautiful that can help the need. I have auctioned with Mission Fish before its really easy and safe for the bidder. You know your money is going to help those in need.
Please blog about my auction when its up, I will be happy to do the same for you, just let me know. Add me as a friend on Face book or my fan page page (I just started it; links are on the right) to keep up to date on my listings.

Valentine Card prints are HERE!
This will be just a quick post, I want to let you know the two paintings I created for valentines day are being auctioned off on EBAY right now. PRINTS are being sold in my ETSY shop as cards. These are beautiful PROFESSIONAL prints, I had made off site. TOP quality! I mount these on card stock and create a wonderful card that will be beautiful in a 5x7 frame. I only had a few printed so they are limited.
I wanted everyone to notice the bottom of my blog and to the right. I have a list of a few of my favorite ETSY finds. I change them often so be sure to check out where my shopping addiction takes me. Did you notice the tattered angel wings? They are by Simplejoyspaperie I found them featured by ETSY, beautiful.

I have two scheduled for tonight, here is a peek at my "Winter's Angel" I took her picture and realized I forgot to add crystals to the snowflakes :) The finished piece will get the crystals.
I am working on designing cards for Valentines, they will be very limited...so please check back ♥

Starting off the New Year
This has been a difficult holiday to say the least. The one bright spot is my dog (who has been diagnosed with cancer) is still here. He is a little slow, but eating, sleeping and wanting to go on his evening walks.
I spent my New Year Eve, and a few days after, in the ER with my husband. He is back home less a gallbladder, I will keep my fingers crossed that he has a speedy recovery. He is on a bland diet, and I am just starving :) trying to count my points.
To finish off the increasingly bad holiday my grandmother passed away yesterday. She has been ill for some time and she hasn't really "known" any of us for the past few years. She went to heaven peacefully in her sleep. What I will remember most about her, are the beautiful dresses she made me as a child, and the delicious thanksgiving dinners she would cook. She made the best turkey, gravy and dressing that I have ever tasted to this day.
