Little Girls and Butterflies
After I finished this piece, I thought my little girl looked familiar. She reminded me of my niece Summer. Here is one of my favorite pictures of her, and my interpretation of our dear "summertime" in Little girls like butterflies, need no excuses

Wonder
This was my project this past weekend. To keep from snacking in front of the TV, I sketch at night..... this is what I came up with. She is done on a 6x12 piece of wood and painted. I have not added the beeswax yet. This picture has been cropped. I will have a few more photos tomorrow.

~Love is the golden thread~
My latest creation will go to EBAY this week. This is on 8x10 canvas with painted and collaged sides. I used a favorite quote from Mother Theresa and finished it with beeswax. I love the colors in this piece, it is one of my favorites. I did finish a scrapbook layout, I will try to sneek peek it tomorow!

More Mixed Media by me :0)
This is a re- work or a do over....whatever you want to call it. I added the same text and created this piece on a 6x12 piece of birch wood and added bees wax. I like it much better. I am having so much fun playing with paint I hope I get to my bears :0)

Black Iris
I am taking some time away from scrap booking to pursue my love for art. I found a fabulous online art class from Suzi Blu. I am currently taking Rodeo girl which I am working now.... This piece however is a collaboration of sorts. The text are words from a beautiful poem written by my sister. I wanted to use the entire poem, but I just didn't have the room. I pulled my favorite lines and created this piece which I call "Black Iris" You will see techniques I learned from Suzi Blu and Kelli Rae Roberts. I have their blogs listed if you are interested in mixed media check them out.

~Tuition Auctions~
I have always loved to paint, but I really have not had time to go any further with the education of art. A few weeks ago I came across Suzi Blu I love her art and I am dying to join her online workshop. Tonight I will list a buy it now layout combo. Two 12x12 layouts in spring themes. One of them I used brand new FRESH from CHA paper and the other is just pretty :0) I have my fingers crossed that someone will snatch up these layouts and help pay my tuition to the workshop....:p
I am off to work, I hope to get all my auction listings up by 9pm tonight, I cannot miss the Bachelor.......check me out on EBAY tonight!
