Live in Sunshine

Today the sun is shining and I decided to start painting again. I found this wonderful quote by Erma Bombeck, who said "when I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me". with that being said, I'm off to my studio. Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Rainy Days

It has rained for two straight days, but I got a lot of work done! I just listed a few ATC/ACEO cards on Ebay. Here is my Marie Antoinette card.
I finished my collage cards for Swapbot.com, it was my first swap so lets hope it goes well. When I receive my cards I will let you know what I think!

Well, I am obsessed with my art dolls, so I decided to revamp my first design. I finished off the back and added a collaged block to stick her in. She still has posable arms, but I did glue the stick into the block. She stands by herself and looks really cute on the fireplace. I added a few more crystals to "bling" her up and a bit of silver paint.
My ETSY store is filled with new collage cards and I have a few ATC cards on auction right now at EBAY!

Well, I wished for snow and got it this weekend! with more than a foot of snow, I have been inside all weekend. What to do? I certainly do not want to clean! that can wait for spring..... I guess... create something new and fabulous! I'm hooked on Project Runway and I have had a love of clothing design my entire life. The only problem is I am not the best seamstress, with that in mind I turn to my never ending supply of pattern paper. I was inspired by the article in Somerset Studio (Jan/Feb 08) Say Say Oh Playmate by Elaine Jackson. She showed us some of her beautiful paper doll art. I spent Saturday working hard at playing with my version of a paperdoll. Here she is mounted to an ATC card, I haven't named her but I am working on it!

Ladies in Hats!

I've got a few new cards done. I love these ladies in the beautiful hats, it always reminds me of the Derby. Living in Kentucky, spring is always an exciting time as we prepare for the Kentucky Derby. I did notecards like this last year to send to our guest that were planning on visiting for the derby. Wouldn't they be great for derby party invitations? or even tea parties!
