Just finished. I have been working on this piece for a while. I started yoga this year, part of my new years resolution. I also have been on a low calorie diet + more treadmill than ever before. I am on day 53, lost 10lbs......still more to go. As I wait for the warmth of summer, I painted a little fairy to remind me to breathe......sounds easy, but if you practice yoga, then you know what it means :)
Meditating fairy, dusted in glitter sitting upon her mushroom in a field of brightly colored poppies. Measures 12x12 wood panel. Acrylic, watercolor, ink, stamping and collage. Available here.

Explore the Possibilities
In case you haven't noticed, I'm in love with crazy curly hair at the moment. Here, I have another girl with some fab 70's curly fro style hair. I sketched her couple of weeks ago and just now got around to adding her into my paintings, you may see her again, but for now this is it :)
This piece is 12x12 wood panel. I layered acrylic, in some of my favorite sun drenched colors. The flowers are a combination of watercolor and ink with bits of collage. Her dress is covered in vintage doilie. I used my favorite stamp from Unity and Donna Downey for the quote. There are links to both a few entries down.
I really want to keep this one, but my walls are covered. I think this would be a great gift for yourself, a grad or a very special girl. Great size for hanging. Click here for listing

Just a quick update, my "She Said" originals, these are all SOLD. I just got in professional 5x5 prints of these, and they are really cute. Perfect to frame and sit on a shelf or desk.......or even create a grouping for a wall. I have a limited number and they are ready to ship. I found theses great frames on ETSY, so if you think you may have trouble finding a square frame......I did the shopping/searching for you ;) Check out my favorites in the bar to the right and down------->
